We’ve just returned inspired and engaged from our annual three-day retreat at The Calile Hotel in Brisbane! This time together provided an opportunity to reflect on our achievements in FY24, align on future goals, and cultivate a culture of growth and innovation for the year ahead, while enjoying time together as a team and some warmer Queensland weather.
The retreat kicked-off with an inspiring session led by our fearless leader Brad Hampel, who shared his reflections on our accomplishments over the past 12 months. We celebrated significant milestones, including the successful appointment of multiple strategic roles (a new General Manager, Creative Director, Head of Client Services Sydney & Group Marketing Manager all in the last 12 months!). These appointments will set a strong foundation for our growth and success in the years ahead.
Personal development and wellness were also central themes throughout the three days. We were privileged to hear from Nam Baldwin, who delivered a keynote on mindset and the science behind brain and body performance. Additionally, Gary Gorrow’s keynote on breath work and meditation offered valuable techniques for improving mental clarity and overall performance, whilst encouraging us to step out of our comfort zone in an incredible VR activity “testing our limits”!
The warm environment curated by The Calile Hotel fostered ample opportunities for team bonding. Shared dining experiences, including an authentic Greek fare by the poolside courtesy of Hellinka, and the best of classic, seasonal Italian dishes at Bianca ensured the team was happy and full.
The SE Group 2024 retreat at The Calile Hotel was a wonderful experience that left us inspired and aligned as a team. We built authentic connections with our colleagues and ultimately, we return to Melbourne now more focussed, passionate and determined than ever to deliver exceptional customer events and experiences.
